Delete your account and data

Last updated: November 1, 2026

You can delete your Vernans account and data at any time. This page explains how, and what is deleted.

Delete your account in the web app

  1. Sign in at vernans.app.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Choose Delete my account and type your email address to confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately. You do not need to contact us. Deletion cannot be undone, so we recommend exporting your guest lists first.

Data in the mobile apps

The mobile apps store your events and guest lists on your device. You can delete individual events and guests in the app, or remove all data by uninstalling the app. If you signed in to a Vernans account in the app, delete the account in the web app as described above; it is the same account.

If you cannot sign in

Email privacy@vernans.app from the email address of your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm and delete the account within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • your account and profile;
  • all events you own, with their guests, groups, seating, tasks, budget items, RSVP pages, RSVP answers and photos.

What is not deleted immediately

  • Shared events: events that other people own and shared with you stay with their owners. Only your access is removed.
  • Your details in someone else's guest list: if you were added as a guest to another person's event, that information belongs to that host. Ask the host, or contact us and we will pass your request on.
  • Backups: encrypted backups are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted.
  • Legal records: limited records that the law requires us to keep, or that are needed for a dispute, may be kept for the period required by law.
  • Newsletter: deleting your account does not unsubscribe you. Use the unsubscribe link in our emails or write to us.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account or the app does not cancel a Pro subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings to stop future charges.
